Bright suns!

I am so excited because today is May the 4th. I love Star Wars, and after not being able to go to Disneyland last year on this day, I made sure I was going today.

While out sitting in Batuu, I thought it would be fun to put together a little Amazon shopping guide for you all about Star Wars. Here are some cute things to add to your cart to feed your dark side (or light side– I don’t discriminate).

How cute are the star hair pins? I think this is such a fun, subtle way to add some Star Wars flair to your everyday. I also love the pork keychain. I actually have him, and he really is the cutest.

One of my other favorite ways to add some Star Wars in my daily routine is to have some drink ware. I love a good mug, and you really can’t go wrong with whichever one you get!

I hope you are having a great Wednesday, and May the 4th be with you.

Bright Suns! (IYKYK)

I am such a fan of Star Wars…and if it isn’t obvious, May 4th! This week every year is so crazy for me because I have May 4th, Cinco de Mayo, and my mom’s birthday all back-to-back. To say that I fully celebrate all three to the best I can every year would be an understatement. I had such a fun, and crazy busy, week.

On May 4th, I got my hair colored for the first time since 2019, so it is nice a fresh for graduation. I also celebrated May 4th with a Starbucks, a Thai fighter boba, Mediterranean food, and watching a mini Star Wars marathon. It was such a fun day where I got to put the stress of finals and graduation behind me (for the moment). I also had plenty of snacks that were Star Wars themed. I wish that I was able to be at Disneyland on the 4th but those tickets went faster than lightspeed the day tickets went on sale. I went all out with my favorite Star Wars shirt, a cute droid pop socket, and a super cute porg keychain.

Did you do anything fun for May 4th or in general during the week? I would love to hear about it, so leave me a comment down below.

With summer coming to an end and school starting soon I wanted to share with you my “mini project” during the last month and a half! I worked hard (on a budget) to make a summer oasis to get away from the worries of the world with the added benefit of catching some sun.

I started off with this adorable Mini Dip pool and before I knew it I had my very own pool retreat in my aunt’s backyard. I live in an apartment and during quarantine my aunt’s house is the only place I ever go and I honestly would be so depressed without this escape. I have classes starting next week but don’t get me wrong…I fully plan on utilizing my pool oasis up until it’s Spky Szn!

It was so easy! My aunt already had these white chairs and the umbrella stand. All I did was place the pool on an old large bed blanket, purchase an umbrella off of Amazon, a cheap black TV tray from Target, and some swan drink floats and viola! Pool oasis complete. I love spending Sunday morning out here playing music on my JBL speaker while drinking Starbucks. Once I feel waterlogged I usually lounge in a chair with my feet on the pool.

I never use to think of myself as an inflatable pool girl but stepping up my game has made me a fan for life! Have you created a fun Summer area with an inflatable pool this year? I would love to know and would love to know what is in your setup!

I will be honest, I am a newer fan of LoveShackFancy. I never heard about the brand until recently but I instantly fell in love. The only problem: I can’t afford 99% of their clothing. While it is so beautiful it is also very expensive.

When I saw that they were doing a collaboration with Target I was super excited! It sold out super fast but weeks later I was able to snag up two of the dresses from my wishlist. They both have the same pattern but because the styles of the dress are different they give me different vibes and I’m not mad at it!

I love how girly this dress feels and looks! I love playing up the sweet details in this dress with fun accessories like this pearl headband, fun star beaded bracelets, and some canvas loafers. You could also easily make it a little more edgy with some black accessories and gold jewelry!

I also think that this would be such a fun outfit for a zoom wedding or date but I also could see myself wearing this dress for work. It is super comfortable and will definitely be on rotate in my closet for years to come!

The other dress I got I love just as much! This dress gives me total beach weekend vibes. I love it styled with some natural sandals and a straw hat. This is perfect for breeze days at the beach or a picnic in the park (social distanced of course)!

To be honest when I first tried it on I wasn’t in love with it BUT after playing with the sleeves (I rolled mine in a little to be a little more flattering) and styled it… I loved it!

I love the colors and the print of these dresses! Normally I would never buy two pieces in the same print but I just loved it so much. Did you get anything from the LoveShackFancyXTarget collab? I would love to hear what you got and if you loved your pieces!

I have always been a big fan of shorts in the summer especially when it gets up to the 100’s here in SoCal. Lately though, I have been looking for other means of cool and comfort in my summer clothing. I was perusing Target’s website (like always) and I came across these! I loves overalls as a kid but never thought as an adult I could pull them off. So, I read a bunch of reviews and decided to get them!

{ Linen Overalls | Crop Top | Earrings (Sold Out)-Similar Here | Star Bracelet (in Golden) | Chainlink Bracelet | Beaded Bracelet | Shoes }

I honestly love these so much! I can easily see myself dressing these up just as easily as throwing them on over a bathing suit. I love that they are linen which makes them so versatile. These are slightly oversized so if you don’t want them baggy I would size down. I ordered a medium and they fit like a large. Are you on the overall train?

Ever since quarantine started I have stayed home. I mean obviously I go to the grocery store and I will go on the occasional drive and get coffee but, I haven’t been out and about. The past week or so, as things have been re-opening, my boyfriend and I have been wanting to go do something. We constantly are at war with what is safe and what we want to do. Of course safety wins out 100% of the time.

We really have been wanting to go to the beach, which is about a 45 to 50 minute drive. I also want to preface that we are the kind of people who are totally okay with going for long drives even if it is for coffee or food. So when we started talking about the beach we both agreed to drive down with all intentions of stay BUT if we don’t feel safe about it or there are way too many people we would get food and come home.

Even though there was a chance we weren’t going to stay, I still packed and dressed as if we were going to be there for the day! I, of course, packed some quarantine essentials like a face mask and hand sanitizer.

When we got there the weather was gorgeous! We found a very secluded spot on the beach and felt very safe and comfortable. We wore our masks until we set up our spot and got settled. Once I was ready to relax I did take off my mask but my face was covered with my giant sun hat.

We spent about 2 hours there and decided to bounce out earlier than anticipated because people started crowding us and we didn’t feel comfortable about it.

I will say, the beach was super clean and I felt very safe with the lack of people (well less than normal). Here are some pictures I took while I was there.

I know that there is going to be another huge surge out here and my boyfriend and I both felt that this was our one opportunity to go out before quarantine ends. We have been so cooped up that this was a much needed beach trip. We enjoyed soaking up the sun while we could and heavily sanitized after.

Have you made any quick trips to the beach or anywhere else? I would love to know your thoughts and how you feel/felt about it! This definitely was a different beach experience than normal.
