Bright Suns! (IYKYK)

I am such a fan of Star Wars…and if it isn’t obvious, May 4th! This week every year is so crazy for me because I have May 4th, Cinco de Mayo, and my mom’s birthday all back-to-back. To say that I fully celebrate all three to the best I can every year would be an understatement. I had such a fun, and crazy busy, week.

On May 4th, I got my hair colored for the first time since 2019, so it is nice a fresh for graduation. I also celebrated May 4th with a Starbucks, a Thai fighter boba, Mediterranean food, and watching a mini Star Wars marathon. It was such a fun day where I got to put the stress of finals and graduation behind me (for the moment). I also had plenty of snacks that were Star Wars themed. I wish that I was able to be at Disneyland on the 4th but those tickets went faster than lightspeed the day tickets went on sale. I went all out with my favorite Star Wars shirt, a cute droid pop socket, and a super cute porg keychain.

Did you do anything fun for May 4th or in general during the week? I would love to hear about it, so leave me a comment down below.

I was fortunate enough to get tickets to A Touch of Disney. For those of you who don’t know, it is essentially the food and wine fest, but with food and drinks from around the Disneyland Resort. I spent a beautiful spring day walking around California Adventure eating food, and taking in all of the sights.

This day was honestly everything I needed in terms of Disney magic. The day we went, they were testing out all the rides for opening, and it felt so normal. There were moments I almost forgot the state of the world, and it was so refreshing. There were also several characters around (socially distanced) that made it so fun to just walk around the park because you never knew who you were going to find next!

The food items I loved the most were the Mickey berry waffles (I had 2), the papas street tacos, the lemon dole swirl cone, and the fluffed nutter churro. I also really enjoyed the frozen coke with jack. It was really refreshing after walking around in the sun for most of the day.

Being back in California Adventure definitely hyped me up for the parks re-opening at the end of the month. I honestly can’t wait to go back.

Towards the end of 2020, Buena Vista Street at California Adventure re-opened for shopping and dining experiences. At the beginning of 2021, all dining was closed due to the stay-at-home order because of rising COVID-19 cases. Fast-forward to February where all dining has re-opened, and additional theme park snack carts are available.

Naturally I wanted to go, and this past week has been a struggle for me. My boyfriend decided to take me on a date to help boost my spirits, and give me some Disney magic that I have been missing so much. We spent the day shopping, eating, and walking around the front half of California Adventure. He bought me a mickey balloon, which honestly was the best! This was my first time getting one, and has brought me so much joy seeing it in my room everyday. It was a magical date, and it took me back to when we were first dating.

I may have done some shopping while I was there, but more than anything walking around made me really miss going to the parks when I need a pick-me-up. I felt very safe, and I think it’s a great escape from reality for a few hours. I honestly cannot wait for both parks to re-open, and get back to my Disney trips.

Downtown Disney re-opened about three weeks ago. I did not go on opening day or week…I waited. Why? There were three main reasons: COVID cases were surging in Southern California, I couldn’t handle my anxiety, and I wanted to make sure it was safe.

I am an annual pass holder and have been one since about 1999. This is the longest I have ever gone without going to Disneyland and it has been so hard. Disneyland is my happy place. I literally forget all my problems when I am there and always have the best time. The parks have been closed since mid March and I just happened to renew my pass the week before the closure. I know…poor timing but I would have never guessed COVID was going to be this intense.

I had a lot of reservations about going but I did a lot of research before I went. I watched countless vlogs on YouTube, stalked people on Instagram stories, and talked to personal friends to see what their experience was like. I honestly was leaning towards waiting it out for the parks to open but to be honest…my soul was needing some Disney magic. I needed something to make me feel happy so I decided to go.

I got there around 10 a.m. and it wasn’t crowded at all! I got to walk straight into World of Disney and had a pleasant shopping experience. I was probably in there for about thirty minutes. After I got some snacks (because who doesn’t need a churro?) I walked right into the Dress Shop and the Disney Gallery. I waited about ten minutes in line for the confectionary store. I grabbed some lunch at Naples (also no wait to get seated) and was comfortable (far enough away from other parties) to take off my mask. This was the first time I had eaten at a restaurant since quarantine started. I spent about two and a half hours in Downtown Disney and on the way out, there were definitely a lot more people coming in.

Was it worth it? For me, yes it was. I loved walking around in a familiar place hearing Disney Park music everywhere I went. I stood in front of both gates and soaked it in. I definitely felt a little emotional being so close and not being able to go in but happy because I was there. I think that if you are planning on eating and doing some shopping it is definitely worth it. If you are just going because you miss Disneyland it might not be but it is totally up to you! I felt very safe. There were countless amounts of sanitizing stations and they were controlling how many people were in stores.

With the world opening back up…so are Disney parks everywhere! Here in Southern California nothing has opened yet BUT that doesn’t mean that I am idly waiting by. I am of course gathering all the things I want/need for that blissful first day back!

If there is anything you are interested in just click on the link and it will take you to the page (nothing is affiliate).

I know that things are going to be very different than before and I am fully okay with that. So, I have ordered several Disney face masks just for the parks. I love this one and this one for every season!

Since I live in a very hot climate, even if the park opens up in the fall, It’s still going to be HOT. I ordered this super cute fan for that hot weather (which I’m sure will feel hotter with a mask on). I will definitely be putting this to good use and it even lights up for night time!

I have been ordering Disney shirts from Hella Cute Company and I can’t wait to finally wear them in the park! I also purchased this spirit jersey from the Shop Disney website. I love their Spirit Jerseys because they are too heavy which makes them perfect for the parks at night when it starts to cool down.

I have been venturing more and more into Disney accessories and I have been obsessed with the Fawn Doe straw charms. It’s also super cool to know that we literally live in the same city! Besides charms, I have been buying some more reusable cups from For The Love Of Pixie Dust. I know that currently you can’t use reusable cups anywhere BUT I am definitely going to use it in the car to stay hydrated!

On the more practical side, I always am in need of chapstick wherever I am and I have been loving this one from Palmer’s. I also have always been a huge hand sanitizer junkie and really want to try this one out. I love spray sanitizers way more than the gel and the foam kind. I also have been looking at ways to sanitize my phone, keys, and credit cards that doesn’t involve wet wipes and harsh chemicals. I recently found this UV sanitizer and I will be purchasing it soon! I know that it will definitely be smart to have for when things re-open.

I also (always) carry on me some essential oil roller balls. The problem is they tend to get lost in my bag. I have been purchasing some really cute things specifically made for essential oils including this super cute roller ball pouch!

Are you anxiously waiting to go back or are you going to wait awhile once the parks open? I also would love to know what your Disneyland essentials are so leave me a comment down below!

Growing up my mom always had Dooney & Bourke purses. I, from a young age, have always admired designer things. While Dooney & Bourke was honestly never may favorite I have always LOVED the Disney collections. I have drooled over them in the parks and stalked them online but never pulled the trigger and bought one…until now.

When I saw this Disney dog Dooney & Bourke on the Shop Disney website I died over it. When I saw I could get 25% off and a small cosmetic bag in the same print for HALF the cost I was sold! I treated myself to this because I honestly love it and I couldn’t pass it up. I love the dogs of Disney so much and I love that the pattern isn’t too bright and the bag itself is white! I can see myself using this bag all the time, especially in the summer when the parks (hopefully) open back up.

I am so excited to finally have a Disney Dooney & Bourke purse of my own! Do you have any Disney designer pursrses? I would love to know which ones so leave a comment down below!

If you have read any of my past few post you’ll know this but if not well…I have been dying to go to Disneyland! With that comes a lot of Disney music, movies, and online browsing on Shop Disney. I have been browsing a lot lately looking at all the cute spring things they have so I thought I would do a little Wednesday Wishlist for you guys! Here are all the things I am LOVING from

I am always in the mood for new ears and how cute are these Haunted Mansion and Coral ones?! I could totally see myself wearing thee all the time. I also love this lavender Spirit Jersey and green long sleeve Disneyland shirt.

I have been in a big purse mood lately and I am looking to add some new and get rid of the old crusty bags I have. I am in love with this Disney Dog Dooney & Burke bag as well as this Loungefly Aristocats bag! This backpack would also be great for the parks. I could totally see it with some Disney patches on it to make it a custom piece!

Speaking of pins I actually have a small collection in my possession that I started when I was 13! I really love Stitch pins (because he’s my favorite obviously) and I love this one.

I love this Mickey ice cream bar necklace because it’s one of my favorite things to eat in the parks. Last Christmas I was given a Rebecca Hook x Disney necklace and I instantly became obsessed. The quality is so great and it’s such an easy (simple) way to add some Disney magic to any outfit. So, naturally I’ve been looking to expand my selection. I also love this Disney paw necklace! Fun fact: all my pets are named after Disney characters. I also would love to get this dog spirit jersey because how cute would that be to match your pup?!

Have you been doing some online Disney window shopping? I would love to know what you’ve been eyeing so leave me a comment down below!

Lately I have been having MAJOR Disneyland withdrawals. Right before Coronavirus hit California hard, I had just renewed my Disneyland pass in the beginning of March. To this day I still haven’t been (mostly due to quarantine). I was doing good in March and I wasn’t overly missing my happy place. Lately though, that has changed. Over this past weekend I have been wanting so badly to go to Disneyland (I even have been watching Disney Parades on YouTube). I thought it would be fun to do a roundup of some of my favorite stores where I like to buy Disney things for being in the parks as well as every day life.

Shop from A to Z is one of my more recent finds. It is an instagram shop (soon to have a website!) that makes the cutest bracelets! They are customizable and you can get Disney or non-Disney bracelets. I recently bought my first bracelet from them and I want soooo many more. The quality is great and they are so versatile! I bought Galaxy in the color golden. I can’t wait to grow my collection. I love how they are a subtle way to add some Disney magic to everyday life.

This store I have known about for a little over a year. I have loved all the cups I have ordered from them and TBH just purchased 2 more. They do take around 6 weeks to ship but they are worth the wait! These are also customizable and you can pick the kind of design you like. I personally am a fan of the castle cups but I have just ordered my first full character cup (and I can’t wait to get it). I use my Stitch castle cup almost every day and I cannot wait to get my new ones in.

My Oh My Supply (AKA MOMS CO) is one of my all time favorite stores for Disney shirts, sweatshirts, and stickers! They make the cutest things and I am slowly growing my collection. I currently have two sweatshirts (one is pictured above) and a bunch of stickers (pictured here). I have also bought shirts from this store as gifts and everything I have seen from this shop is high quality. They also make non-Disney items (such as The Office, FRIENDS, Game of Thrones, and more).

This is another recent find. I know that I talked about World Traveler Trading in my recent Friday’s Five but I am so impressed with the quality of the fabric and the hardware. If you can’t tell, this shop makes keychains (almost all are Disney themed). I love them and I have had this one on my keys since I got it in the mail. I have about five more that I want to buy and there are so many I have in mind as presents for other people!

I know that this isn’t a “small shop” BUT I think that this is the best place to buy Disney baseball caps (besides the parks). I have four caps from Boxlunch and they are my favorite! I love the selection and the fact that you can find characters you can’t find inside of Disneyland. They are also reasonably priced under $20!

Where do you like to buy Disney stuff? I would love to know so I can check them out and maybe get a new favorite! I hope quarantine is treating you well and I hope your Disney withdrawals aren’t too bad (unlike mine).
