SNAKE SKIN FOR FALL

It is my favorite time of year for many reasons– the days are shorter, the nights are colder and the colors are everything. Here in SoCal, you have to be creative when it comes to the fall season. We don’t get “fall weather” and we rarely get the changing of the leaves. I have always had the mindset to make lemonade out of lemons when it comes to this season, and one of my favorite was to feel the fall spirit is through fashion.

I must admit that I’m sad we are still in quarantine because it means that all my cute fall pieces don’t get the love they deserve. Since I am not in an office working like I typically am, I’ve had to find new ways to wear my fall favorites. This year I have been into the snake skin trend. I only currently own two pieces but I feel like that will soon change.

Snake skin is one of those “neutral” prints that go with almost everything, and I have been loving them this fall season. I wanted to share with you all how I have been making some lemonade, and rocking some snake skin.

On the few occasions my boyfriend and I have a date night that involves being outside (aka getting takeout and eating outside in his backyard) I have been putting effort into my clothes. I have ditched my uniform of black leggings, sneakers and tees for something a little more put together. I have been loving this sweater I recently purchased from Target paired with some denim and my snake skin booties.

I love how this whole outfit is in neutral tones, and the snake skin booties add a little pop. The ruffle detail on this sweater is to die for, and it’s so soft. This is one of those outfits that look like you put effort into getting ready, but you really haven’t.

What trend have you been loving this season? I would love to know because I have been feeling more adventurous lately with my trends.
