JULY MONTHLY FAVORITES

What a month it has been! If you haven’t seen my recent post about dealing with anxiety (you can check it out here) I have been going through it. It was actually very hard for me to think of some favorites this month. Usually I can instantly think of them but this time I had to really think about it and scroll through my pictures on my phone.

  1. GOING TO THE BEACH

This was both a favorite but also a massive stress on me after the fact. If you want to read more in depth why, check out my post I just did on anxiety. Putting that aside, while I was there it was really nice. I love being at the beach in the summer so I am glad that we went once and took a risk.

2. DR. PEPPER CREAM SODA

So, this one might seem a little odd and I do want to make it clear that the reason it’s on my list is not the actual soda (which is honestly pretty delicious) but it’s the story of how I got it. My super amazing boyfriend spent an afternoon of grocery store hopping to find this for me. I was having a lousy day and he wanted to surprise me with it. I had been looking for it for a while because I wanted to try it out but was okay if I didn’t find it for a while. He was the sweetest doing this for me and it definitely made me smile.

3. ADAPTIV ROLLERBALL FROM DOTERRA

Speaking of anxiety and bad days, it leads me to my next favorite: Adaptiv. I know I haven’t talked about it much but I use essential oils in my daily life. Right before quarantine started I purchased this oil to help out with anxiety and I honestly hadn’t used it until recently. It has helped me to feel less anxious when I feel it coming on. I now carry it everywhere and use it frequently.

4. BURNING SAGE

There was a lot that happened this month and towards the end of the month I was sooo over it. I was over the anxiety. I was over the bad things that kept happening. Mostly, I was over all the bad vibes going on. After doing some reading online I decided to go out to one of my favorite stores in a local downtown area and buy two sage sticks. I then went home and “cleansed” the bad energy out of my home and god-willing out of my life. It honestly felt so good to do something active to start the new month fresh.

5. QUALITY TIME WITH THE PUPPY

Another thing that has helped with how I’ve been feeling this month has been this girl right here. Just seeing her instantly become happy when she sees me instantly lifts my mood. She is such a sweet girl and I was soaking in all my time with her. If you ever are feeling sad, lonely, anxious, etc, go spend time with a dog!

6. GETTING TAKEOUT & EATING IT ON THIS STREET

The only other time I went somewhere this month was going out to the Oinkster for a burger with my boyfriend. It is about a 40 minute drive from where we live but it is worth it every time. It is located on this gorgeous tree covered street so we ate in the car with the windows down listening to music. It was so peaceful!

7. PLAYING WITH MY STACK

I have been messing around with different bracelet combinations from different brands and I have really been enjoying playing with them! I love mixing different textures together.

8 MY FIRST MACKENZIE CHILDS PURCHASE

I treated myself to some investment kitchen pieces. I have always seen this brand in blogs and home decor magazines and I have always wanted a few pieces for my own home. I always told myself that I would wait until I got my first house but COVID has me thinking differently. I have realized that I shouldn’t put off the things I want because I am not in the situation I want them for. So, I got a tea kettle, spoon holder, and a bowl in the Royal Check. I love them so much and they bring me joy every time I use them!

9. ENJOYING TIME OUTSIDE IN MY BLOWUP POOL

I am still obsessed with my little pool oasis! I am working on a post for it but I am also still working on the “oasis” part too. I am super close to being done and I am spending every chance I get in that cool water.

I hope you all had a good month and I hope we all have better months to come! Stay safe out there and know we are all going through this crazy time together.
